Over the course of an hour, Gary will meet some of the most famous people in football to discuss the world’s oldest football competition: The FA Cup.
Among others, he’ll talk to England captain Steven Gerrard about the day his last minute equaliser sent Liverpool’s fans wild with relief. Ian Wright made his name coming off the bench for Crystal Palace to score twice in the Cup Final against mighty Manchester United. Ian went on to win the trophy with Arsenal, but it was that glorious defeat which counts for so much.
We’ll hear from Ryan Giggs about the goal in the semi-final against Arsenal which will never be forgotten and from Fabrice Muamba who almost lost his life playing in the FA Cup.
In addition, Gary will meet this year’s heroes, some famous, some from the part-time leagues. He’ll talk to non-league players swapping factory gates for famous goals and the Premier League stars featuring in the big live games.
